AI Personal Agents by Plan: Dots, Muse, Grok Bot, Duet and Cue
Which subscription gets you each personal AI agent: ChatGPT Dots on Pro and Business Premium, Grok Bot from X Premium, Claude Duet on Pro and Max by waitlist, a free Muse tier and Cue in early access.
UpdatedOctober 22, 2026
In short
The personal agent you can use today mostly depends on the subscription you already pay for. ChatGPT Dots come with ChatGPT Pro (from $100 a month) and Business Premium. Grok Bot comes with The X Subscription from Premium ($30 a month), not Plus. Claude Duet comes with Claude Pro ($20 a month) and Max, but only for US accounts invited from a waitlist. Meta Muse is the one sold on its own, with a free tier and plans at $20 and $100 a month. Manus Cue is free while it is in invite-only early access.

Five agents, five ways in
Each vendor attaches its agent to a different plan and counts its work differently. Read across the last two columns: the cheapest way in is a fixed monthly price, but what you get for it depends on whose limits the agent spends.
Agent | Plans that include it | Cheapest way in | Where | How its work is counted |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ChatGPT Dots | ChatGPT Pro 100, 200 and 500; Business Premium; Enterprise beta | $100 a month (Pro 100) | Pro outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland; Business Premium worldwide | Chat with the dot is free of ChatGPT limits; Work and Codex tasks it starts count as usual |
Meta Muse | Free, Power, Maximum | $0, then $20 a month | US; iOS, Android, muse.ai, WhatsApp | Weekly Muse tokens: 500 million on Power, 3 billion on Maximum, unpublished on Free |
Grok Bot | The X Subscription Premium, Super, Ultra | $30 a month ($25 billed yearly) | Desktop and mobile apps; no country list | The seat's weekly pool, shared with Grok and Cursor; top-up credit beyond it |
Claude Duet | Claude Pro and Max, by waitlist | $20 a month ($17 billed yearly) | US only during the research preview | Claude's five-hour and weekly limits, background checks included |
Manus Cue | Early access by invite code | Free during early access | iOS, Android, macOS, Windows | A Cue weekly allowance for phone numbers; other terms unpublished |
None of the five publishes a fixed number of agent tasks per plan. Dots, Duet and Grok Bot inherit the parent plan's limits, so the question to ask is how much of that allowance you are willing to give to background work.
Free and trial routes
Only Muse has a permanent free tier, and Meta does not say how large its limit is; when it runs out you wait for the refresh or upgrade. Cue costs nothing today, but Manus has not said what it will cost after early access, and phone numbers for an agent are a separate subscription. Grok Bot has a trial in the form of a usage credit with a 7-day window, which never turns into a paid plan on its own. Dots and Duet have no free route: OpenAI lists dots only on Pro, Business Premium and Enterprise, not on Free, Go or Plus, and Anthropic lists only Pro and Max for Duet.
Manus itself, the general agent behind Cue, has a free plan of 300 credits a day for its lighter Manus 2.0 Lite model, capped at 1,500 a month; Is Manus free? covers how far that goes.
Dots or Muse: a $100 ChatGPT plan against a free Muse tier
Readers comparing these two are usually choosing between paying for an agent inside the assistant they use most and trying one on its own. A dot is part of ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium: the cheapest entry costs five times Muse Power, and OpenAI does not list it on Plus. What it adds is reach into ChatGPT's own tools, since a dot can start and follow up Codex and ChatGPT Work tasks, which then spend those products' limits. Muse is sold separately and metered in weekly tokens with published sizes on the paid plans, but it is limited to the US.
Grok Bot or Muse: one shared pool against separate weekly tokens
Grok Bot's cost is tied to The X Subscription, so its value depends on whether you also use Grok and Cursor: all three draw on one weekly pool per seat, and heavy Bot work leaves less for chat and coding until the pool refreshes. Premium has four times the Plus pool, Super 15 times and Ultra 50 times, with prepaid top-up credit after that; Grok Bot pricing by plan covers the tiers, the trial and older plans. Muse's tokens are its own, so using the agent never eats into another product. Grok Bot runs from desktop apps on macOS, Windows and Linux plus phone apps; Muse runs in its app, on muse.ai and in WhatsApp.
Duet or Dots if you already pay for Claude or ChatGPT
For an existing subscriber, the cheaper agent is the one already in the plan. Claude Pro at $20 includes Duet at no extra cost during the preview, against $100 for the ChatGPT plan that includes a dot, but Duet needs a US account and a waitlist invitation, and its work, including the checks it runs every few hours, comes out of the same limits as your Claude chats. Anthropic gives each admitted account one full limit reset, usable until November 30, 2026. OpenAI's launch terms for dots run the other way: an extended allowance for deeper work in the first month after the September 29 launch, with per-plan terms still to be published.
