Meta Muse Usage Limits by Plan: Free, Power, Maximum and Muse Code

Meta Muse Power includes 500 million Muse tokens a week and Maximum 3 billion; the free limit is not published. Muse Code plans range from 10 to 50 prompts every 5 hours up to 80 times that.

UpdatedOctober 13, 2026

Meta Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, measures paid usage in Muse tokens per week. Power at $20 a month includes 500 million Muse tokens a week, and Maximum at $100 a month includes 3 billion. The free tier has a usage limit that refreshes, but Meta does not publish its size. Muse Code, Meta's separate coding agent, uses prompt windows instead: its entry plan allows 10 to 50 prompts every 5 hours, and higher plans multiply that by 5, 20 or 80.

Meta does not convert Muse tokens into messages, tasks or hours of agent work. Longer tasks, larger files and work in the agent's browser use more than a short chat, so measure a typical week before upgrading. Meta lists no top-up or pay-per-use option for the Muse agent; the choices at the limit are to move up a plan or wait.

What counts against the allowance

Muse works on tasks rather than single replies. It keeps working after you close the app, can use a secure computer with a browser shared by you and the agent, connects to your apps and builds its own tools, and creates files such as PDFs, spreadsheets, documents, images and podcasts. Meta counts the agent's paid usage in Muse tokens but does not say how many each kind of task uses. Your usage appears in the Muse settings, next to Manage subscription.

The range on Everyday Usage reflects how much each prompt does: a small edit counts for less than a long multi-file task. Subscriptions default to Contributor mode, which gives more usage in exchange for permission to train on your content; turning it off reduces your effective allowance. Meta shows Muse Code prices only during onboarding, so compare them at checkout. Usage through extra API keys on the same account is billed pay-as-you-go rather than from the plan.

Muse Spark on the Model API

Developers using Muse Spark directly are limited by rate, not by a weekly allowance: 3,000 requests and 4 million tokens per minute per team in Standard mode, and 150 requests and 3 million tokens per minute in Contributor mode. Token prices are on Meta Muse pricing.

Which plan fits

  • Free suits trying an agent on a few weekly errands, such as reminders, inbox triage or a shopping comparison.
  • Power suits handing Muse recurring work most days.
  • Maximum suits running long tasks across several apps every day; it has six times Power's allowance for five times the price.
  • Muse Code is a separate purchase for coding in the terminal, bought through a Meta Model API account rather than the Muse app.

How many Muse tokens do I get on Power?

500 million a week on Power at $20 a month. Maximum at $100 a month includes 3 billion, six times as much.

What is the Meta Muse free limit?

Meta says Muse is free with a usage limit that refreshes but does not publish its size. When you reach it, upgrade or wait for the refresh.

What happens when I run out of Muse usage?

On Free or Power you can move up a plan or wait for the limit to refresh. On Maximum you wait. Meta lists no top-up option for the Muse agent.
