Grok Bot Pricing by Plan: Is It Free and Which Tier Includes It

Grok Bot is not free and not on Plus: it comes with The X Subscription from Premium at $30 a month, draws on the weekly pool shared with Grok and Cursor, and has a 7-day trial credit.

In short

Grok Bot is not free, and Plus does not include it. The cheapest way to get it is The X Subscription Premium at $30 a month, or $300 a year ($25 a month); Super at $100 and Ultra at $200 include it with larger allowances. There is no separate Grok Bot price: it draws on the same weekly pool as Grok and Cursor. To try it first, SpaceXAI offers a trial in the form of a usage credit with a 7-day window, which never converts into a paid plan.

Premium is the first tier with Grok Bot

The X Subscription states each tier's allowance as a multiple of Plus. Grok Bot appears from Premium up, so the upgrade from Plus to Premium, $22 a month, is what Grok Bot costs a Plus subscriber.

Team seats follow the same line: Premium, Super and Ultra seats at $30, $100 and $200 per seat a month include Grok Bot with the matching individual allowance, and Plus is not sold for teams. Each seat keeps its own pool; seats do not share.

Bots spend the pool Grok and Cursor use

Grok Bot has no meter of its own. A Bot works on its own cloud computer with a browser, filesystem and terminal, and that work draws from the seat's weekly pool at rates that vary by activity, alongside Grok chat and Cursor. A week of heavy Bot use therefore leaves less for coding and chat until the pool refreshes. SpaceXAI publishes the pools only as multiples, not as task counts, so the usage page in your Grok dashboard is the only place to see how much a Bot has used.

When the pool runs out, further usage is paid from prepaid top-up credit. Auto Top-up is off unless you turn it on, and a monthly cap can stop extra usage even while credit remains. SpaceXAI does not list top-up pack prices in its docs.

In-app plans use Cursor's older names

Grok Bot's help pages say it has no separate subscription, yet the mobile app sells monthly individual plans to accounts that do not already include it. In the US App Store these appear as Pro at $25.99, Pro+ at $77.99 and Ultra at $259.99, the names of Cursor's legacy plans, which cost $20, $60 and $200 a month on the web. The X Subscription itself is bought at grok.com, where Premium costs $30.

Older Cursor and SuperGrok plans keep access

Accounts that have not switched to The X Subscription keep Grok Bot through the plans they already have:

  • Legacy Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra and Teams include it, with weekly usage that rises from Pro to Ultra.
  • Linking a SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ subscription to a legacy Cursor account grants usage at the matching tier: Pro, SuperGrok and X Premium+ are one tier, Pro+ and SuperGrok Plus another, Ultra and SuperGrok Heavy the top.
  • An existing seat on self-serve Grok Business works by signing in with Grok.
  • An existing SuperGrok Lite subscription does not include Grok Bot.

A Cursor plan and a link do not add together; Grok Bot uses whichever grants more, and a link cannot be undone. Switching to The X Subscription is optional but permanent, and moves Grok Bot onto the new weekly pool. New customers can only buy The X Subscription. AI personal agents by plan sets Grok Bot's access beside ChatGPT Dots, Meta Muse, Claude Duet and Cue.
