AI Writing Assistants
AI writing assistant that fixes grammar and tone, rewrites sentences and checks plagiarism on Pro.
Updated October 27, 2026
Overview
Grammarly is an AI writing assistant that refines grammar, structure, clarity and tone, rewrites sentences and drafts text from a prompt. Its suggestions appear inside the apps people already write in, through desktop apps, browser extensions, a Microsoft Office add-in and mobile apps, rather than in a separate editor.
It suits people whose writing is checked by someone else, such as students, editors and client-facing teams, because its paid tier adds plagiarism and AI-text detection to the corrections. Teams of up to 149 people can share one Pro plan and keep their writing on-brand across members.
The main caveat is the generative AI allowance. The free plan includes only a small monthly number of AI prompts, so anyone who relies on rewriting and drafting rather than corrections reaches it quickly.
Grammarly is now part of Superhuman. It is sold on its own and inside the Superhuman suite next to Superhuman Docs, Mail and Go, so individuals and teams can buy it either way, while larger organizations buy through Superhuman's sales team.
