GPTZero Pricing, Plans and Limits

GPTZero is an AI detector. You paste text or upload files, including from Google Drive, and it estimates how likely the writing is to come from a model such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Besides the web scanner it works as a Chrome extension that checks Gmail, Google Docs and Classroom, through a Canvas integration and through a developer API.

It is built for teachers who review student work and for writers who want to check their own drafts. Plans are sized by the number of words scanned each month, from a free allowance for occasional checks to larger monthly allowances for heavy use.

The core caveat is that a detector returns a likelihood, not proof. A high score is a reason to look closer and talk to the writer, not a verdict on its own, and the accuracy figures on GPTZero's site are reported by GPTZero.

Individuals subscribe on the website; teams buy Professional seats, and larger teams go through GPTZero's sales team.
