Each seat includes usage up to its limits: a Standard seat gets 1.25 times Claude Pro's per-session allowance and a Premium seat 6.25 times, each with a weekly limit. Claude Enterprise costs $20 per seat a month, billed annually, with a 20-seat minimum, but the seat covers access only: every message and Claude Code session is billed at Anthropic's API rates. Enterprise adds SCIM, audit logs, a Compliance API, custom data retention and network controls.

The core difference: included usage or pay as you go
Team works like a set of individual plans under one bill. Each seat has its own allowance that resets each session and week, and the per-seat limits are not shared across the team. When a member reaches a limit, the organization can let them continue on usage credits.
Enterprise separates access from usage. Anthropic says the seat fee covers access only and includes no usage, so the organization pays API rates for every request across Claude, Claude Code and Cowork, and there are no per-seat usage limits. Admins control cost with spend limits for the whole organization and for individual users. Per-model API rates are on Claude pricing.
That makes the two plans hard to compare by seat price alone. An annual Team Standard seat and an Enterprise seat both cost $20 a month, but the Team seat includes usage and the Enterprise seat does not.

The seat fees multiply Anthropic's list prices. Enterprise usage depends on the models used and the amount of work, so its total has no fixed ceiling unless spend limits set one.
How Enterprise is bought
Anthropic sells Enterprise two ways with the same features and seat price:
- Self-serve: bought online with a minimum of 20 seats, paid by card or ACH in US dollars, with usage credits purchased upfront.
- Sales-assisted: bought through Anthropic's sales team with a minimum of 50 seats, with invoicing, multiple currencies and usage billed monthly in arrears.
Both require an annual commitment and offer a HIPAA-ready configuration. Organizations on older Enterprise seat types, such as Chat or Chat plus Claude Code seats, move to the single usage-based seat at their next renewal.
Which plan fits
- Team for 2 to 150 people who want predictable monthly costs and can live with per-seat limits. Give Premium seats to the heaviest users of Claude and Claude Code.
- Enterprise when you need SCIM, audit logs, a Compliance API, custom retention or network controls, or when usage varies so much between people that paying per token is fairer than fixed seats.
- Above 150 seats, Anthropic points Team customers to Enterprise.
