Midjourney API Pricing: Is There an Official Public API?

Midjourney has no public API, so there is no API price to pay. Its community guidelines say that, with a few rare exceptions it grants explicitly, Midjourney does not provide an API, and its terms of service ban automated tools for generating images. Third-party "Midjourney API" services drive a subscriber's account through automation, which those rules prohibit and which can get the account blocked. A product that needs images from code has to use an image model that sells API access.

What Midjourney sells instead
Midjourney sells subscriptions for people working on its website or in Discord: Basic $10 a month, Standard $30, Pro $60 and Mega $120, with Fast GPU time of 3.3, 15, 30 and 60 hours. A company with more than US$1,000,000 in yearly gross revenue must use Pro or Mega to own what it generates. None of these plans includes programmatic access, and each account is for one user.

Pick by what the product has to do: Ideogram 4.5 takes bounding boxes for where text goes, Recraft returns editable SVG, Nano Banana 2.1 accepts up to 14 reference images, and GPT Image 2.5 runs from low to max quality with edits by mask. None of them is Midjourney's model, so judge the look with your own prompts. Leonardo AI also sells pay-as-you-go API credit, which does not expire, for image and video generation.
What a Midjourney prompt costs, for comparison
To compare a subscription with these prices, divide by GPU time. A standard-definition image prompt uses about 0.8 GPU minutes, so Standard's 15 Fast hours cover roughly 1,100 prompts, about $0.027 per prompt at $30 a month, before Relax adds unlimited slower generations.
